Ryanair allows its passengers to take one carry-on bag at no extra cost, but the dimensions and weight of this bag are subject to restrictions. As of the last update, the permitted measurements for a carry-on bag are:

  • Dimensions: 40 cm x 20 cm x 25 cm.

This means that the bag must be a small size, such as a backpack or handbag. If you want to take a larger bag, you will have to pay an extra fee or choose a fare that includes it.

As for other airlines operating in Spain, policies may vary. Here is a summary of the baggage policies of some of the main airlines:

Iberia:

    • Carry-on bag: Up to 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm and a maximum weight of 10 kg.

    Vueling:

      • Hand luggage: Up to 40 cm x 20 cm x 30 cm (no charge). To carry a larger suitcase (up to 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm and 10 kg), an additional fee or the “Optima” fare or higher is required.

      Air Europa:

        • Hand luggage: Up to 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm and a maximum weight of 10 kg.

        EasyJet:

          • Hand luggage: Up to 56 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm (no charge) and unlimited weight, but must fit under the seat.

It is always advisable to check the baggage policies of the specific airline you are flying with, as they can change and there may be differences depending on the type of fare you purchase.
